The Rotor-Router Model (also known as "Propp Machine")

Here is a small collection of large rotor-router aggregations. These images were produced using an algorithm developed in this paper by Tobias Friedrich and Lionel Levine. Some more explanation about the theory behind it, can be found here. Use your scroll wheel or double click to zoom in and out. You can also click the respective caption for a full screen version. The color scheme is left=yellow, down=red, right=blue, and up=green.

Peter Nietz implemented a small tool to change
the colors associated to the different directions.
